Feltmaking Workshops in Schools

About Me

 

Hello my name is Heidi Street-Ward, and I am a textile artist felt maker specialising in running feltmaking workshops in primary, secondary and special schools within the UK.

 

I live in Northamptonshire and have been teaching feltmaking workshops since I completed a PGCE Teacher Training Course (Secondary Art & Design) at Homerton College, Cambridge University, over twenty-five years ago. During the course, I gained valuable experience of teaching art within education and I have been working as a freelance textile artist ever since. Prior to my PGCE course, I gained a BA (Hons) degree in Textiles and Ceramics at Manchester Metropolitan University.

 

I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association and exhibit my textile work with the Northamptonshire Guild of Designer Craftsmen.

 

I have Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million, hold a current DBS certificate and have undertaken Safeguarding Training.
